What to Expect
All remodeling jobs are stressful. Our process, developed over the last 27 years and thousands of jobs, has served us well in minimizing the stress on our clients by eliminating surprises and the lack of knowledge about what to expect. The process covers the essential elements of a remodel: before, during and after construction.

Free consultation – we will visit with you to see the property. This helps us understand what you wish to do, how we can bring value to the project, and make judgments about working together. We will also discuss rough estimates of budgets and timeframes to make sure that expectations are realistic.

Reference Checks – We encourage our new clients to talk to and review our completed projects with our clients. We will provide you a list of references identifying the work done for each client.

Contracts – This stage varies depending on whether you wish to do repairs, minor remodels, major remodels, with us as your design build firm or without. Regardless, we will not begin any work unless our joint expectations about what needs to be done are embodied in a clear contract.

The Design Process – If you are engaging us as your design-build team, we will quote you a price to do the design. We will then jointly work towards crystallizing your ideas on paper. The process results in a set of drawings to guide the construction, as well as a detailed estimate of the costs. There are multiple decision points along the way for you to change your mind about the remodel.

Contractor Estimate – If you are engaging us as your contractor alone, we will work with your architects and produce an estimate of what it will cost you to have us build to their drawings. We don’t charge for these estimates.

Contractor Selection – if you select us as your contractor for the remodeling and the construction phase, we will enter into a contract outlining the deliverables, the schedules, the milestones, and a payment schedule.

Construction Crews – our crews work M-F 9am – 6pm. All our crews are supervised to ensure that they provide a professional product both in the end result and also in the way it is delivered. We make sure the crews respect your privacy and are always pleasant and open to discuss any of your questions. Our staff is long-term trustworthy employees and can be depended on taking care of your property with utmost regard.

Questions, Complaints, Concerns – For most construction related issues, our on-site supervisors have the authority to address most of your concerns and take appropriate steps to fix them. You are also free to escalate any issues directly to our managing personnel at the office.
